Hello listers Does anyone know whether the house numbers in Bradford Road, Bolton have changed since 1909? My father was born at No. 57 and his older brother at 31 and I would love photos of the houses if they are still there. Regards Robin

You can often get an idea from censuses. 1901 census has Carter Street then Bradford Road odd numbers from 1 up to 37 the Woodfield Street which is on the East side of Bradford Road. Suggests that the odd numbers might be on the East side of the road. It should be possible to find some other sections of Bradford Road and follow the numbers. If you go on the Bolton Council website and then select My Bolton, you can enter an address on Bradford Road and see a small map showing the location of that address. This suggests that odd numbers are still on the East side of the road. You could try google street view once you ascertain the numbers have not changed. The Council may be able to help you there.
