    3. Hi Regarding names at Hillcot 1948/9 , you might ask if someone would check the Electoral Rolls at Bolton Archives -----Original Message----- From: eng-lan-bolton-bounces@rootsweb.com [mailto:eng-lan-bolton-bounces@rootsweb.com] On Behalf Of Elizabeth Wright Sent: 04 April 2011 20:39 To: eng-lan-bolton@rootsweb.com Subject: Re: [ENG-LAN-BOLTON] MOORE / READ marriage This was very interesting. I have no knowledge of the people but I know exactly where Hillcot was/is. I was invited there as a child and allowed to choose a doll from the playroom. I can't remember the name of the people who lived there then. It would have been about 1948/49. I don't imagine I was the only child treated this way. My brother was too and he chose a cricket bat. 1. [ENG-LAN-BOLTON] St Peters Grave
    2. Hi Listers Today I visited St Peters Graveyard, and with direction from fellow lister Bob and a map from Pat , I went straight to the spot, sadly there was no headstone, but I was still glad to have found it. Through the list I would like to thank the people who have taken the time and trouble to transcribe the St Peters church records, I have been doing my family tree for a number of years but was unable to discover where this particular couple had been buried, thanks to Lancs opc they mystery has been solved, so thanks for you hard work, it really is appreciated. 2. Bob Thornley
    3. Sue, I can possibly help you with that if you post the LAN-OPC details you have to the list. Ideally copy and paste the full entry. I should be able to relate the burial register details to the grave information and location and possibly tell you where to look. The graveyard is very big as church graveyards go, with about 18,000 burials. Don't necessarily expect finding the grave to be easy. Is it your intention to visit the graveyard? 3. 27th March is census day, and Ancestry are doing the following to celebrate it for those who don't subscribe to the service... "Get ready! To mark Census Day 2011, we’re letting you access all our UK census record indexes, from England, Wales and Scotland, completely FREE, for 24 hours! 27th March will be a historic day, as we all come together to complete the 2011 National Census. While you’re filling in details of your age, birthplace and relationships, you can use our FREE indexes to look back at your ancestors who did exactly the same thing every ten years, right back to 1841... " (The 1911 census is available in summary book form only, but may still provide something useful.) Regards, Sally
