Hello List. Could anyone please tell me whether Hardy Street, Bolton is still there, I believe that most of the streets around there have been gentrified. I am particularily interested in who lives in No. 11 assuming that the street is still there. Also Yarrow Place I lived there and left in 1949 to come to Australia. Regards. Perle Brooking. Hello, I'm looking for descendants of FREDERICK PARTINGTON and ALICE ANN BOARDMAN. Alice was the sister of my Great Grandfather. They were married in 1904 in the Bolton District. They lived in Westhoughton (and spent a couple of years in the USA between 1908 and 1910) and I believe their marriage may have been in the Methodist Church at Westhoughton/Wingates. Does anyone have access to those records? They had two children by 1911: MARY PARTINGTON c1905 WESTHOUGHTON and FRED PARTINGTON c1908 WESTHOUGHTON They may have had others and I would love to get in touch with anyone descended from the family. I have the family in the 1911 census living in Westhoughton with my Great Grandfather and some of Alice Ann's other siblings. Thank you, Tamara.
The next monthly meeting is on September 7th at 7.30pm, Bolton Cricket Club, Green Lane, Great Lever BL3 2JB The genealogist Bill Taylor will discuss how to start researching family history, firstly with family owned records, then progressing to accessing civil registrations of birth, marriages and death, censuses, and then parish records and wills. All welcome. Any queries please contact Barbara Owen on 01204 309515 See also http://www.familyhistorybolton.tk/
