    3. Hi everyone, I have found out that a few of my ancestors were buried at Moor Lane Baptist Chapel between 1832 and 1845.The chapel closed about 1864 but I have been unable to find out what happened to the grave records and I wondered if anyone knew. I have checked with Bolton archives but they have no records. They where able to tell me that the congregation from the chapel joined Claremont Baptist Church but that they had no graveyard. Also if a church closes what would happen to the graves ?Would they be left there or would they have been moved ? Any help gratefully appreciated, kind regards Kath Send instant messages to your online friends http://uk.messenger.yahoo.com

    3. Hi All, Is anyone else looking for Hampsons?? From 1776 to 1796 I've looked at everything in Bolton, Deane, and Radcliffe that is on Hugh Wallis. On the 1841 census Noah and John Hampson both listed as 65 are at Castleton Moor, Salford. I think this could be my Noah Hampson, father of Dan. I made up a list of Hampsons in that age range that I have run into, William 1796, crofter, Charles 1781, Thomas 1776 Bolton le Moors, Robert 1796 Inn Keeper, brother Roger 1795, Radcliffe listed as a surgeon, John 1776, Blacksmith, Richard 1782 Deane. I'm thinking some of these must be related. Can anyone venture a guess where these christenings would be? Thanks, Val Chadwick

    2. Fred H Held
    3. Judith, The data you found in the IGI Files should have been documented by renting the microfilms of the records at your local LDS Family History Center. If you haven't documented those data yet, the same website, FamilySearch, has a tab for the Family History Library. The complete FHL catalog is online. You can rent the microfilms and microfiche at your local FHC. The catalog will tell what records they have and what time periods they cover. At 10:00 PM 4/26/2006, you wrote: >From: "jk hats" <jkhats@hotmail.com> >To: ENG-LAN-BOLTON-L@rootsweb.com >Subject: Where to start? > >Advice needed urgently! >I am hunting for Kennerdales in the Bolton/Bolton Le Moors/Gt >Bolton/Little Bolton area around 1800-1830. 3. Hi Jacqui, Glad to hear that you have found more about the origins of this card, as I must admit it had me intrigued, as there were certain anomalies about it, particularly as Jim had pointed out that it showed the cabmen's shelter, demolished 1910, yet the hemlines of the women clearly indicated a later period than that. Jacqui, let me know if you wish this image to be removed from the website. You haven't said where you are, so I don't know whether to recommend visits to local sources of information, but you could in any case look at the other items listed on the MLFHS bookshop webpage above.
