Late notice, entirely my fault. Hope you can attend! >From M&LFHS Bolton & District Branch: Our next meeting will be on May 6th when we have our new central chairman John Marsden, from the Manchester and Lancashire Family History Society coming to share his expertise about researching military personnel who served in what was known for the next 20 years as the "Great" War, World War One. Little did they know what was yet to come. The talk will be preceded by our annual General Meeting which is expected to take about 10 minutes. We hope as many members as possible will be able to attend and meet John, and show him a good old fashioned Bolton welcome. We know his talks to be invaluable. As usual, the venue is Bolton Cricket Club, Green Lane Farnworth, BL3 2JB and the meeting will start at 7.30pm. A Help Desk will be available to assist private researchers afterwards, and we can now also offer a good range of genealogical archive quality stationery at discount prices, and our second hand swop table will be there awaiting deposits and withdrawals -- don't throw out your old magazines, cds etc , bring them along. All enquiries to Bolton@mlfhs.org.uk or Barbara Owen Secretary on 01204 309515 website http://www.bolton.mlfhs.org.uk
