Hi Sally, Don't know if it will help, but there was a family called Chew, living in the street next to Park Rd. School (off Audley) in the 1930's.... I think he was called Alan Chew, and there was also a plumbers shop of the name Chew actually in Grimshaw Park about the same time. One comment written about the new catalogue was that entering a date range resulted in no hits even though the record was revealed after removing the date range.
