Do the pins fall out of the map you have hung on the wall where you track where your ancestors lived? Would you like to be able to print a map showing what steps your ancestors made as they moved around the country? Try this web site, <http://maps.the-hug.net>, which was recommended by a member of the Manchester & Lancashire FHS. According to that member, you can plot the relevant points on the map, enlarge or reduce the map to fit, and print it, all for free. I finally worked out how to enlarge/reduce the map (you have to click on your starting point first), but haven't worked out how to print it yet. Seems a very useful resource. Hope this is helpful to someone. Lynne

A strange question is asked: "Are you happy to enter this prize draw?" I guess you shouldn't answer that if you're depressed. Good luck! Lynne

This year’s extended campaign will run from April 23 to the end of Adult Learners’ Week, which takes place from May 12 to 18. The sessions, organised by Digital Unite in partnership with UK Online Centres and Race Online 2012, are free and no experience is necessary. Julie Bell, county libraries manager, said: “Computers and the internet have become central to so many aspects of our lives. These sessions have been specially designed to offer older people, particularly those who are a bit nervous about technology, a relaxed and informal introd! uction to the rapidly expanding online world.” For more information call 01772 534 008 or visit <http://bit.ly/springonline2012>."
