The Bolton branch of the Manchester & Lancashire Family History Society (MLFHS) will hold its next meeting on Wednesday August 7th, 2013. This month's speaker is Norman Hindley, the well known Bolton historian, who will be reminiscing about "Rationing in World War 2, the difficulties faced by people who experienced it, and how they adapted". Hello all You may be interested in the latest news from the Lancashire Parish Register Society. Hot off their press, the first 2013 volume, Dalton in Furness III (1692 - 1812). Soon to be released are two CD publications: Hindley 1813-41; Haigh 1833-41; Abram 1838-41 (combined) and Preston (Holy Trinity) 1815-41. A further volume of Wigan (1741-76) will be released in 2013 and it's possible that Manchester Collegiate (1666-1700) may also be released in 2013. My great grandmother was ANN WALSH, from Blackburn born 1847, married Henry Lightbown in 1870 .Her father was JOHN WALSH and mother 1sabella Hacking . Her mother died in 1848 and Henry remarried Esther Braithwaite in 1849. Her paternal grandparents, ROBERT WALSH and Dinah Walsh.
