    3. Dear Josie It is a very very long way to Sydney. Joking aside both families were on the Cornwall The Cornwall left Dartford on Sunday 5th May arriving at Gravesend the same evening. Sunday 12th May when two steam boats took us down to Margate Rd We hove too off Deal to discharge Mr Rees the pilot. Very cold as we passed the Isle of White May 14th Plymouth bearing NW Sept 1st 1839 At 6 30 am we entered Sidney harbour the most beautiful scenery burst upon the sight with the town of Sidney in the distance Nine males and nine females died on board Not surprising as they would have been well over 100 years old A beautiful day in Sydney today about 30c Regards Jilda ----- Original Message ----- From: "Josie Mackie" <josie.mackie@tesco.net> To: <eng-ken-woodchurch@rootsweb.com> Sent: Friday, October 19, 2007 8:32 PM Subject: Re: [ENG-KEN-WOODCHURCH] emigrants > That's interesting, Jilda.
