In response to the inquiry about Eliabeth Woodgate, I do not have direct help, but the following may be interesting. Here is what I have found, always subject to corrections and always needs more data. Samuel Woodgate (1734-1795) in Shadoxhurst married Elizabeth (d.1803). Their children are Ann (1767=1767) Elizabeth, b. 1761 John (1764-1825) in Shadoxhurst, married Mary Bean 28 Dec 1790 in Woodchurch Samuel (1765-1808) in Shadoxhurst, married Eliabeth Wesson of Ashford in Shadoxhurst 1792, she later married George Wraight of Ashford William, b. 1769 in Shadoxhurst David, b. 1771, married Sarah John Woodgate (as above) and Mary Bean had children William Woodgate, b. 1794 in Shadoxhurst George (1801-1869) in Shadoxhurst, married Mary Samuel b. 1804 Kitty (1807-1826).married George Ditton 26 jUL 1826 James (1810-1880) Shadoxhurst For info on George, b. 1801 and his wife Mary Ann, see Kent Archaeological Society monument inscriptions for Shadoxhurst. I am interested in the Woodgates because Samuel Woodgate's wife, Elizabeth Wesson, married my great-great grandfather, George Wraight, after Samuel's death. I'd be happy to find out more about the Woodgates in England. Some descendants of Samuel Woodgate and Eliabeth Wesson emigrated to the US along with Elizabeth Wesson Woodgate Wraight's children to settle near each other in New York state.
