Hello! My great great grandmother, Martha Ransley, ?born 1795 (some spellings Rangley)nee Morris, married first William Ransley (born 1793) in 1820 and after he died in 1837 she married Charles Bourne (1811 - 1859). His father was a James Bourne who I have assumed married Barbara Basenden - no proof though! If James was Charles' father then presumably Charles and George were brothers........... Martha and Charles had a son Edward Bourne Ransley, born 31.5.1820, 5 months before they married! Any other information would be helpful and / or confirmation of above. Many thanks. Thanks Ken, I have 'My' George Bourne b 1822 - married Mary Ann Baldock - alas at the moment due to a computer meltdown I cannot find the references for this - as i recall it was from some Census information and their marriage certificate and I thought from his gravestone ..... It is from their marriage certificate that I gathered James was his father and occupation was given as carpenter - but I couldn't find anything conclusive as to which James ... I have come across Babrbara Baseden on a few occasions but as I didn't know for certain that it was the correct James I havn't added her! Do you have a reference for George being 1815?
