Dear Bob, I don't know if they enjoyed their meal, but the marriage took place two days after the license was granted: Thomas Brett and Joane Pemmer of Great Chart were married by licence October the 16th. (Woodchurch Marriage Register: P400/1/1) I've read that dinner was served in the middle of the day at this time, so even in October they'd've had plenty of time to get back to Great Chart, always supposing the malster didn't provide too much of his wares! best wishes, Josie
