Dear all I have now had 11 requests for photographs of the monuments in the New Burial Ground. Of the 11, 9 were for unmarked graves. I took no photographs of the location of the unmarked graves as my only purpose was to transcribe the wording on the extant monuments/gravestones. In Ken Bourne's original survey of the graveyard, he included the entries extracted from the Burial Register for the New Burial Ground. A number of these entries were unmarked graves. It is possible, with a little work, to establish the approximate location of these unmarked graves. Anyone visiting the graveyard and trying to do so should contact me if they need help. The last 2 requests were for the photograph of a extant shared/joint grave. This produced two photographs of the same gravestone. The first was a general view of the grave and stone in its setting, the second was just the wording in closeup. Best wishes to all and good hunting. - Bob Chown
