Dear Sally Not sure if this is relevant as I haven't looked into it in detail. My GG grandmother was Eliza Ransley who married Richard Fowle in Q3, 1854, in Appledore. She died in childbirth in 1857, also in Appledore. They had 2 daughters, Frances and Emma (my G Grandmother). Bob, thanks for the link, I will have a look.
