    1. [ENG-KEN-WOODCHURCH] Swinier/Swineyard/Swinyer Family
    2. A Swinerd
    3. Hello one and all I am now trying to trace the baptism of a Thomas Swineyard, also recorded as Swinyer and Swiniar amongst others, who married Margaret Essex in Woodchurch in 1631. My research as ascertained that Thomas was a newcomer to the village where he then settled after his marriage.I would be interested to learn if anybody who has researched the Essex family or who has details of the records within the Parish Chest for that period can give me any information on Thomas that might help trace where he might have come from or even his age. I have already eliminated some of the neighbouring parishes to Woodchurch but would appreciate any advice from members who may have details of the Swinier/Swineyard family from research they have undertaken into their own families in other parishes. Great Chart has been mention as a possibility but any parish to the north/north west of Woodchurch may hold the key as two families known then as Swannard/Swinerde and Swynnerden have been found in Staplehurst and Teston in the 1570's. Thanks for any help you can give. Dave Swinerd Guildford
