My Northamptonshire PITTS seemed to wander around between the three counties of Lincs, Cambs and Hunts. I have them in Northants 1722 onwards except for about a generation. It was suggested that I looked at the Militia lists and there were PITTS there but I didn't recognise them:-) Joseph PITTS m Elizabeth NUTT 1833 she was from St. Ives. Charles PITTS m Esther SWIFFEN 1874 at Conington. She lived at Sawtry Lodge. I believe these two places have been moved to Cambs now. Shadrach PITTS m Mary Ann PINDARD 1830 at Farcet. No other details. Julia Jane PITTS (father William) m William BERRISFORD (father Thomas) from Fletton Hunts. Stephen PITTS (father James) m Elizabeth HAYNES (father Henry Gilbert) Fletton. I far as I know all the PITTS listed were born in Northants, although I could be wrong. Names ring any bells!! Jackie
