Hello Listers, It was suggested to me to subscribe to your list as perhaps sks might be able to help me. I am researching the name BRAWN. So far I have found the Brawns to be in Bedfordshire. On the 1861 Census it gives Thomas Brawn ( I cannot read the age but I think it says that he is 23 years old, Married, Carpenter and born in Hunts Kimbolton Eliza , wife age 37 and she was born in Bedford. Mary Ann daughter age 5 Thomas age 4 William ( my line ) age 2 Louisa age 1 I would like to find Thomas' father and mother and think perhaps he could be on the 1851 Census and about age 13.
