Help??!! Can anyone help or is anyone else researching CHALKER's. I am new to the group and have ancestors from Bungay and Peterborough and hope that somebody can help with look ups in the Peterborough region for the CHALKER families. There seem to be rather a lot of different CHALKER families and I am trying to sort them out. My family is as follows: Henry CHALKER m Elizabeth HACKMAN 1868 in Bungay Holy Trinity. They moved to Peterborough as I have found them in the 1881 census at Woodstone. Their children are: Frederick, Emily, Thomas, Harry, Edward, Mary Louisa and Alfred Luke Housego CHALKER. Mary Louisa CHALKER is my grandmother Henry CHALKER's parents are: Robert CHALKER and Mary HOUSEGO and they had another child Eliza CHALKER who married William CLEVELAND 1851 I have a marriage certificate for a Robert CHALKER 1839 (Bungay) but as he is aged 65 and marrying Hannah CATLING aged 52 both widowed I feel they must be either Robert CHALKER's father or another CHALKER family.
