Hi! I have a problem and am hoping to get some help for the next step. I have William Gifford (soldier) who married Sarah Collingwood in Somersham in 1823. My problem is that I have two different sources here in Australia that tell me two different sets of parents for this child. One tells me that he is the son of Joseph Gifford and Elizabeth Beale, b 1797 in Bluntisham, the other that he is the son of John Gifford and Mary Harden b 1803 in Somersham. I have been unable to read the 1841 census where he may still have been alive and he was dead in the 1851 census. Anyone have any suggestions? It probably is sitting under my nose but I can't see it at present. Regards Lyn
