    3. Available today is the new Census website http://census.pro.gov.uk which is trialing a pilot web-based access system in readiness for the release of the 1901 Census next year (Hooray!) This pilot is based on digitised returns from the _1891 Norfolk_ Census and seems to have a little information on some adjacent border areas. This message is intended as a general update for those who may have interests in Norfolk, or just be curious as to how the new system is going to work. Please feel free to forward to any other Lists you think appropriate. Much basic information is free but there are chargeable options for more sophisticated results. Have a look and give the Webmaster; (a) some gratification that his/her considerable work has not been in vain, and (b) a headache when he/she realises the scale of access the system will need to support! Have fun & good luck in your quests!
