I have the surname ALLEN appear in my Turgoose family from a few years earlier. Jane Allen Turgoose born Dec 1899 to William Turgoose and Ann //? in Holywell cum Needingworth. No idea where ALLEN comes from, as I have yet to find mother Ann's maiden name. She was already been a widow (surname HORNE) when she married William, which makes the sleuthing more difficult.
