    3. I have the surname ALLEN appear in my Turgoose family from a few years earlier. Jane Allen Turgoose born Dec 1899 to William Turgoose and Ann //? in Holywell cum Needingworth. No idea where ALLEN comes from, as I have yet to find mother Ann's maiden name. She was already been a widow (surname HORNE) when she married William, which makes the sleuthing more difficult. Sorry I don't have more. Her father was George Allen born c1829 Conington and died 1916. He married Maria nee Baker in 1856 at Huntingdon. Children were: Mary c1859 George 1860 Elizabeth 1862 Elizabeth 1863 Margaret - above William 1865 Elizabeth 1866 John 1868 Edith 1869 Rosa 1871 Thomas 1872 He was the son of William Allen born c1791 and Martha nee Hill born c1798. Children I have listed for them to date are: Thomas born 1827 George above William born 1832 Jeremiah born 1835 John born 1837 Mary born 1840 Would love to make contact with other Allen researchers who link in with this family as they have been very elusive to date.
