Hi all, I am a new member and thought I'd pop in and introduce myself and my Huntingdon connections. I have a Margaret Allen who was born 1864 in Huntingdon to George Allen and Maria nee Baker. Margaret was born Connington and had siblings named Mary, George, William, John, Edith and Rosa. George (father) was the son of William Allen and Martha nee Hill. He was born 1829 and had siblings Thomas, William, Jeremiah, John and Mary. There is quite a story about the Margaret above as she married a William Allis in 1884 in Lincoln and had three children to him before leaving him and travelling to Australia with another man and having a family out here with him. All very interesting and I certainly wish I could have a talk to her and find out her reasons for doing so!
