Hi Silvers 1841 Bedford HO107/010-07 folio 14A Ram Yard, Bedford St Paul William Cook 25 shoemaker Not born in Beds Fanny Cook 30 Not born in Beds John Cook 5 Born in Beds William Cook 5 Born in Beds Robert Cook infant born in Beds As you can see the 1841 is of far less use than the 1851, with birthplaces not given, merely whether or not they were born in the county; and ages ages over 15 were rounded down to the nearest 5 below, so 25 could have been between 25 and 29, and 30 between 30 and 34. As suspected the 1841 doesn't add much to what was in the 1851 as neither set of parents were living with William and Fanny, although another son has been added. As mentioned off board the Pedigree Resource File has this family on two separate submissions which give William's parents as James and Sarah, although this needs to be checked with the parish register (I've taken the liberty of asking Karen who has just offered to do look ups at the Record Office next week to look for William's baptism). But I cannot see this couple in St Neots in 1841, nor is there a James on the National Burial Index as having been buried in St Neots, so either they moved away from St Neots or the Pedigree Resource File information is incorrect. Let's see what Karen finds.
