The full 1851 entry HO107/1751 folio 574 Balshall St, Bedford St Peter William Cook head marr 38 bootmaker born Hunts St Neots Fanny Cook wife 40 shoe binder? b Northants Weedon William Cook son 14 errand boy b Bedford Robert Cook 9 scholar b Bedford Nah Naphi??? Cook son 5 scholar b Bedford Fanny Cook dau 1 scholar b Bedford So in 1841 he was in Bedford, which is a big unindexed town! I'll check it out later today and see if I can find them. But even if I do it's unlikely to help with their parents. But at least now you have their birthplaces. I don't know what's available in Northants but I know that for St Neots the parish registers have not been filmed nor have the baptisms been transcribed by Hunts FHS, so it means either a trip to Huntingdon Record Office, or paying them to do a look up for his 1812/13 baptism for you - I have found them to very helpful and their charges are reasonable. There are a couple of entries on the IGI indicating that a William Cooke was a member of the Church of LDS and that he was born at St Neots on 24 Jan 1813, but no parents are mentioned. Were the family Mormons?
