I'm thinking I'm starting to move beyond the majority of the extracted IGI entries at this point, but could be wrong on that. However, if not, I'm sure many of these will be non IGI entries starting soon. Hi Listers, I'm very happy to say I've finally made contact with a solidly connected cousin in my paternal Bundy line, who lives at Great Stukeley, Hunts. I have 194 Bundys/Bundays, etc in my file now, although some of them are duplicates that I can't work out yet. I found this cousin by sending letters to Bundys located in the areas where 3 of my grandfathers' cousins died in the 1950's. I just sent letters to them, and so far I've heard back from this one on email. Sometimes it pays to take a chance. :) Jim Bundy Page 74 When Baptised (year) Month Day Child's Christian Name Son of / Daughter of Parents Name Surname Abode Quality, Trade, or Profession By whom the Ceremony was performed 1875 Jan 31 James Emma Howard Eaton Socon Illegitimate J A Dibbew Jan 31 Alice Jolias & Caroline Draper Eaton Socon Chair mender J A Dibbew Feb 28 Albert Frederick & Eliza Coleman Eaton Socon Bricklayer J A Dibbew Feb 28 Joseph John & Emma Baldock Wyboston Labourer J A Dibbew Feb 28 Clara Jane James & Emma Jane Kidd Little Paxton Labourer J A Dibbew April 11 George Thomas & Eliza Ann Norman Eaton Socon Labourer E Horley Ap 11 George Albert Lizzie Cooper Eaton Socon E Horley Ap 11 Sarah Jane Thomas George & Esther Abbot Eaton Socon Labourer E Horley Page 75 When Baptised (year) Month Day Child's Christian Name Son of / Daughter of Parents Name Surname Abode Quality, Trade, or Profession By whom the Ceremony was performed 1875 Ap 11 William Edward Mary Ann & Christopher Barnes Eaton Socon Labourer E Horley Ap 11 William William & Susan Charles Eaton Socon Labourer E Horley April 25 Thomas Joseph & Jane Beesley Staploe in Eaton Socon Blacksmith J A Dibbew May 30 Walter James Henry & Maria Markham Eaton Socon Labourer J S Dibbew May 30 Rosetta Henry & Maria Markham Eaton Socon Labourer J S Dibbew June 27 Frederick Louis Alfred & Francis Hisby Eaton Socon Painter J S Dibbew Born Ap 1st June 27 Frederick Henry & Elizabeth Barnes Eaton Socon Gardener J S Dibbew June 27 Mary Anne Leonard & Jane Bundy Chawson Labourer J A Dibbew Page 76 When Baptised (year) Month Day Child's Christian Name Son of / Daughter of Parents Name Surname Abode Quality, Trade, or Profession By whom the Ceremony was performed 1875 July 25 Minnie Alice Barnett James & Mary Anne Beal Staploe in Eaton Socon Labourer J A Dibbew August 29 Jane Elizabeth Henry & Jane Huckle Eaton Socon Labourer J A Dibbew August 29 Minnie Rosa John & Susan Barnes Eaton Socon Labourer J A Dibbew August 29 John William John & Susan Barnes Eaton Socon Labourer J A Dibbew August 29 Clara Elizabeth Samuel & Mary Ann Day Eaton Socon Labourer J A Dibbew August 29 Jessie William & Eliza Cooper Eaton Socon Labourer J A Dibbew August 29 Ada William & Eliza Cooper Eaton Socon Labourer J A Dibbew Sept 26 Arthur William James & Emma Murfin Eaton Socon Labourer E Horley Page 77 When Baptised (year) Month Day Child's Christian Name Son of / Daughter of Parents Name Surname Abode Quality, Trade, or Profession By whom the Ceremony was performed 1875 Sept 26 Annie William & Eliza Manning Eaton Socon Labourer E Horley Sept 26 Thomas William & Eliza Manning Eaton Socon Labourer E Horley Sept 26 Arthur Edward William & Mary Ann Ford Eaton Socon Labourer E Horley Oct 31 Walter Henry James & Emma Banks St Neots Builder J A Dibbew Oct 31 John Joseph Joseph & Susan Thornton Eaton Socon Labourer J A Dibbew Nov 28 Arthur George Frederick & Elizabeth Smith Eaton Socon Labourer J A Dibbew Nov 28 Minnie Rose John & Sarah Lawson Eaton Socon Labourer J A Dibbew Nov 28 Charles Frederick Oliver Frederick & Geninnah Belsham Eaton Socon Miller J A Dibbew
I have now obtained the death certificate for Thomas Sutton who, I think, is my 3x great grandfather. He died 15 September 1840 at St Ives (no more details) aged 80 years of cholera, occupn. builder. The informant was Sarah Robinson present at the death, St Ives. I had previosly been kindly sent his burial date (17.9.1840, aged 80) This suggests that Thomas' wife, who I think was Elizabeth (nee Beetles), was dead by then. In the 1841 census in Benthams Yard, St Ives there was Sarah Robinson 66 widow N (not born Hunts) with Mary Robinson, 18 'Yes' Can anyone add anything? Was there a Sutton / Robinson wedding in say about 1780, for those who have access to such files. Any thoughts appreciated, Brian Davis Auckland, New Zealand

Hi, I wonder if someone has access to the Somersham Parish Records, if they could look up the marriage of William RULE aged 19 and Jane BUZZARD aged 18 in July 1884. The problem is that on the marriage certificate, Jane's father is listed as Thomas, Engine Driver. Now the only Jane I can find on the 1871 census of about the correct age is living with and listed as daughter of William and Ann BUZZARD aged 3 years born Chatteris living Chatteris. Then on the 1881 she is aged 13 still living with and listed as daughter of William and Ann, this time she is born March but still living Chatteris. I have searched through 1837online and can only find 1 Jane BUZZARD born between Jan 1865 and Dec 1869 - that being one born December quarter 1867 N Witchford district. So is this Jane BUZZARD (who married William RULE and whose father is Thomas BUZZARD) the same Jane as is listed on the census as the daughter of William and Ann? Hopefully the parish registers of the marriage or of the banns will shed some light on this mystery. Thanks for any help. Mo

Hello, Great to find someone interested in Sawtry, Hunts. My mother sang in the Choir at All Saints. The family lived at 14 The Green. My family of SLATERs and BRANSONs go back a long way in Sawtry. The 1881 Census Fiche are at LDS Family History Library, Upper Hutt, but I realise you are looking for earlier records. Hi I live in Fletton, so I can probably answer any question that you have. You say that your ancesors lived at Tower Street,(it used to be called New Fletton) well its still there, but its now part of Woodston, so I would think that it would be Woodston Parish Church which I think is St Augustine as that is the nearest church to Tower Street, but there then again they could have been buried in Fletton Cemetary, which is a large cemetary on Fletton Avenue - where I live- but I am unsure of when it opened. There are some postcards of Old Fletton and Peterborough in my webshots album. Karen My on line album http://community.webshots.com/user/stitchywytch I love my job at Lush - Peterborough! www.lush.co.uk
I spent my childhood in Fletton and know it well. Peterborough Crematorium now has responsibility for Fletton Cemetary and has the records but I understand some are missing - went 'walk-about' during the transfer. Peterborough Crematorium is on Mowbray Road, Peterborough, PE6 7JE, tel: 01733 262639. Hope this helps -- David Rooke ----------- david.rooke@argonet.co.uk Nottingham, UK
I have 8 members of my family who died in Fletton between 1876 and 1905 can anyone please tell me where they could be buried. Ann
I am trying to find James McCallum born 1870 in Fletton. His parents were Francis and Elizabeth and they lived in Tower St Fletton.I found Jame's dob but he is not with his family in 1881or 1891 census. I have also traced 6 of his siblings deaths between 1876 and 1890 but cannot find any trace of James. Can anyone please help? With Thanks Ann
Is there any kind soul who has access to the parish records for Sawtry all Saints, or who will be visiting the record office and could do a lookup for me? I am trying to track the children of James and Mary FARRINGTON who were married in 1804 in Winwick. They lived for some years in Sawtry, and some of their children were born there. I would be particularly interested in records for James Farrington (about 1812) and Thomas (about 1818), but also in any other children born between 1804 and 1819. The last child in the family was christened in 1820 in Winwick, but I can't find any of the other children there, and someone has checked Sawtry St Andrew records for me. Unfortunately no Sawtry PRs are available on film or fiche through the LDS church - which makes trying to find records very difficult when you are not in England. I'd be very grateful for any hep anyone can give. Gillian in NZ
Hi Sarah, I've transcribed many types of records for Eaton Socon and presented them to the Huntingdonshire list over the past several years. If you'll search the list archives you should find many references to your surname of interest.
