Hello Huntingdon Listers. Is there anyone out there with BLAKENEY in their tree? If so I'd be very pleased to hear from you, especially if you are related to either of these three brothers of my mother. Henry (Harry) James b 1885 Margate. Edward (Ted) Horace 1887 " Albert (Bert) John 1891 " William (Bill) Thomas 1893 " All are in the 1901 census, Harry lived in Liverpool in 1919, but no news after that. . Don't know anything about Ted, other than he lived in East London.and might have married 'Minnie'. Bert was a Docker , and lived at 258, Albert Rd, Woolwich in 1955 Bill was in the navy and used to live in St Ives , Hunts at 12, Station Road. and he died in 1961. But I don't know his wife or children As there were 10 children in that generation and also in the previous I must have umpteen relatives somewhere! I am in contact with all my mother's sisters descendants, but the brothers never kept in touch - typical men!! What a headache they are causing me . Best wishes Betty ( 70 years old & who may not be around ,or able , when the next census comes on line, so need help now)

Hi List: I am looking for information for my William Moulton/Maulden/Molton born in Little Paxton in 1749/1750. Being born about this time, I would think that he served in one or two of the wars. He would have been 21 in 1771. He may have served in the big war. Could some one tell me how to look him up on the regiments in Huntington so that I can find out more about him? He married in 1803 and had three children. Thank you for any help!!! Regards Nina

Hi May, I'll have more Eynesbury entries soon, when I get copied pages sent from the Huntingdon Record Office. Just remember, these transcripts have not been checked, but they're what we have for now. Hi folks, I am looking for any information on the descendents of Roger Attwood (a tailor of St Ives in the 1800s) and his wife Mary Brown. Their children included George, Abraham, Mary Ann, William Henry, Frances Elizabeth, Arabella, Harriett and Roger (born from about 1830 to 1850). Their descendents lived in the St Ives area throughout the 19th century and into the 20th century. I have seen the St Ives census return for 1881 but would be interested in ANY Attwood's recorded in earlier censuses of St Ives (particularly 1851) and surrounding districts (e.g. Needingworth in 1861 and 1871). Any help would be appreciated. Athol (Brisbane, Australia)

Hi, Dare I suggest you try Clark, 'rotten' writing could make the E to a K. Just a suggestion. Good luck Sue ----- Original Message ----- From: "Norma Clare" <norma.clare@ntlworld.com> To: <ENG-HUNTINGDON-L@rootsweb.com> Sent: Saturday, July 09, 2005 2:04 AM Subject: George Emerson CLARE/CLEARS I am now convinced that George Emerson CLARE was originally called ....What I can't find is a reference for their marriage, either under CLEARS or CLARE.
After spending many hours examining censuses for Lincs, Hunts and Cambs, I am now convinced that George Emerson CLARE was originally called George Emerson CLEARS. He was born in Louth, Lincs in about 1838 under the name CLEARS. I've managed to find him still in Louth on the 1841, 1851 and 1861 censuses with the name CLEARS. In 1871 however, he has changed his name to CLARE and is living in St. Ives, Hunts with wife Emma, who was born in Chatteris, and their son George William CLARE age 5. What I can't find is a reference for their marriage, either under CLEARS or CLARE. I would be most grateful if someone with knowledge of the Hunts marriage registers would look for a marriage sometime between 1861 and 1865, always assuming they did get married! The fact that his wife was born in Chatteris makes me believe that they married in this area as opposed to Lincs. Very many thanks in anticipation Norma Clare
