    3. Hi Listers It's that time again where I remind everyone about the Huntingdonshire Look-up Exchange. For anyone who doesn't know what it's all about, it is an ever-growing list of volunteers who have resources in their possession and who are willing to do "look-ups". Why not take a look? Please take time to read the instructions if this is your first visit - You will find the Hunts Lookup page at: http://members.tripod.com/AztecRose/huntingdon/hun.html I'm always on the look-out for more volunteers to undertake look-ups for fellow researchers in any area such as; tax lists, electoral rolls, directories, census indexes, indexed parish registers etc., etc., and if you are willing to add your name to this list, then please email me, at gagudju@ozemail.com.au your contribution will be gratefully accepted. I would like to thank all volunteers who are listed for their continued support. 1. New to list - BONHAM interest
    2. Celia Renshaw
    3. Hi listers I'm researching my BONHAM family, mostly originating in North Bucks and mostly being butchers by trade. One butchering BONHAM line moved from Shenley, Bucks to St Neots, Hunts between 1861 and 1870. This was Robert BONHAM, his wife Mary Elizabeth Head (nee GUNN, good solid name) and their children Emma Jane, Winifred Mary and Georgina Maria. From 1870 in St Neots, (a lot) more children were born: William Robert, Albert Edward, Frederick Valentine, John Samuel, Walter Percy, Arthur Ernest and Margaret Alice. Robert and wife Mary E H both died in St Neots district (1900 and 1916 respectively) but it looks as though the kids moved off all round the country. In hope it may help someone recognise the family, here is a sample of their marriages: Winifred Mary married local lad Alfred James LINFORD and they went to London (her sister Emma Jane may have married Edwin LINFORD) Georgina Maria married Ernest Percy WEATHERHEAD in St Neots 1895 - they went to Thornbury, Gloucs William Robert married (1) Minnie Eliza KENDALL who died 1900, then (2) Edith Mary Ann WEATHERHEAD in 1902 - they stayed in St Neots, he was, of course, a butcher Arthur Ernest married Ethel Alice BEAVIS in St Neots 1904 Would love to hear from anyone who links to the family or, conceivably, remembers there being a BONHAM butchers in St Neots. This below is the complete message Does anybody have a full list of the 112 people who were on the 1801 census for Chesterton (as mentioned on the http://www.chesterton.moonfruit.com/ website)? I am researching the WATTS family and have John WATTS as the innkeeper of Cates Cabin in 1841 (Thanks to Margaret Long for that info). I am now trying to find any other WATTS in the village prior to 1841. Just joined the Huntingdonshire FHS last week, so hope to make many contacts. Also coming to Peterborough and the village on 10 February - BBC Family History day. Many thanks Yvonne (born WATTS)

    1. WATTS & FARRINGDON & ABBESS
    2. A. Day
    3. This message concerns the family of Elizabeth Watts who married John Abbess at Fenstanton Parish Church, Huntingdonshire on 3rd. March, 1800. Until recently, our records showed Elizabeth's parents as being Thomas Watts and Mary (nee Farrington (sic)) and showed that they were probably married around 1771. However, no information was available as to where their marriage might have taken place. During a recent search in the IGI (on-line) we discovered that Thomas Watts married Mary Farringdon (sic) at Lolworth Parish Church, Cambridgeshire on 23rd. September, 1771. Lolworth is relatively close to Fenstanton (the parish in which Elizabeth was born and baptised in 1776) and is just across the Huntingdon/Cambridgeshire border. A search was then made in the IGI for the possible baptism of Mary Farringdon/Farrington somewhere in the same locality prior to c. 1756. This is what we found:- Baptism - Longstowe, Cambridgeshire 10th. December, 1749: Mary Farringdon(sic) daughter of Robert and Ruth Farringdon Baptism - Great Gransden, Huntingdonshire 12th. April, 1752: Mary Farrington(sic) daughter of Thomas and Mary Farrington Longstowe and Great Gransden, although in different counties, are neighbouring parishes, and both are about equidistant from Lolworth. For the time being, we shall have to keep an open mind as to which of these (if either) is likely to be our Mary. Clearly further research is needed, but it would be very helpful to know if any other member of the group has previously researched this family - and with what result. Ann
