I am trying to trace a family called HARRADINE for the Woodhurst area. John Harradine a farmer, father of Charles born c 1826 Woodhurst, on the 1841 Charles and his siblings are living with his older married brother John, but no sign of their parents, has anybody got access to the parish records for this area or have any connection with these Harradines regards Jessie j.griffiths12@ntlworld.com

Hi Kathy, I believe that would be Female Labourer, which you'd see a lot in a farming area. Hi all My 8xGPs Thomas Breez and Bridgitt White marriedin the church of St Thomas of Canterbury, Ramsey, 30th October 1677. I've been unable to track their births or baptisms and I suspect it was during that period when records were not kept.(the actual years escape me but I think it was up to about 1655). Was it just a failure of the records or were baptisms not performed. Is it possible to find out this information. Luckily there were Breez baptsms recorded shortly after the restoration so I think i have the parents but it would be good to get the actual dates etc. regards Ted Interests in Ramsey during 1600's and 1700's Ellington, Breez, White Hun(n)s, Read, Rawlins and Potting
Hi there, I am researching the 'Seekings' Family,or name variant, and have now hit a brick wall with Joseph Seekings who would have been born circa 1760. Although Joseph was married in Stretham, Cambridgeshire, I have been unable to locate details of his Baptism there. I have been informed that there were Seekings families living in Hartford, Warboys and Woodhurst in the 1700's. Can anyone please offer any assistance with this family. Unfortunately I will be unable to visit the Hunts Record Office this year. Thank you all for your wonderful work Derek Reay

We would like to sincerely thank Judy (in NZ), Paula Patterson and David (in France), for all their help with our Mary Elizabeth PHILLIPS' family, plus other PHILLIPS' in Yaxely. Each has been a tremendous help to us. Hopefully, the dozen or so 1, 2 & 3 x great-grandchildren who are working on the family tree, will be able to successfully sort out those who were in Yaxley in 1841 and confirm those who belong to us. All descendants of Edward Bauld STONE (aka Edward BALLS) born 1823 Norwich, Norfolk and Mary Elizabeth PHILLIPS are encouraged (and welcome) to join our group. Warmest regards, Toni ~ Ontario
Hi Listers It's that time again where I remind everyone about the Huntingdonshire Look-up Exchange. For anyone who doesn't know what it's all about, it is an ever-growing list of volunteers who have resources in their possession and who are willing to do "look-ups". Why not take a look? Please take time to read the instructions if this is your first visit - You will find the Hunts Lookup page at: http://members.tripod.com/AztecRose/huntingdon/hun.html I'm always on the look-out for more volunteers to undertake look-ups for fellow researchers in any area such as; tax lists, electoral rolls, directories, census indexes, indexed parish registers etc., etc., and if you are willing to add your name to this list, then please email me, at gagudju@ozemail.com.au your contribution will be gratefully accepted. I would like to thank all volunteers who are listed for their continued support. Hello Norman, Ann, David & Tracy Thanks to you all for your responses to my query. Silly old duffers like me need all the help we can get. I am clearer now about my geography and Registration Districts. If the only place I can find the info I need is at the Huntingdon Record Office it may be sometime before I get it. It is a long way to travel as I live in the north of Scotland and the only way I go south is to fly from Inverness to Heathrow, and that very rarely, so Huntingdon is never on my route. Mary Ann BARNETT is a recent connection and will have to go on a back burner for a while. Still plenty to get on with though. Once again my sincere thanks Cheersthanoo Raymond
