    1. Pre 1901 Census - Trial Site
    2. Nigel Penton Tilbury
    3. Available today is the new Census website http://census.pro.gov.uk which is trialing a pilot web-based access system in readiness for the release of the 1901 Census next year (Hooray!) This pilot is based on digitised returns from the _1891 Norfolk_ Census and seems to have a little information on some adjacent border areas. This message is intended as a general update for those who may have interests in Norfolk, or just be curious as to how the new system is going to work. Please feel free to forward to any other Lists you think appropriate. Much basic information is free but there are chargeable options for more sophisticated results. Have a look and give the Webmaster; (a) some gratification that his/her considerable work has not been in vain, and (b) a headache when he/she realises the scale of access the system will need to support! Have fun & good luck in your quests! 1. MARTIN/FLINT
    2. Donna Williams
    3. Hi List, I have a farmer of 170 acres at Bury, Huntingdonshire, named John MARTIN. He was born in about 1796. His wife was Franciss (maybe Frances) FLINT, born about 1809. Their children were: Anne (1892), George (1834), Mary (1836) & Richard (1838). This is all I have on John & Franciss. I have possible parents for Franciss: James Flint & Mary Linford, married 7th December 1798 at Yelling. Richard is my direct ancestor. He came to Australia on a small paddle steamer called the Arydale. This is unusual. Does anyone know how I can find out more about this? I have a suspicion he may have moved to NewZealand & then later travelled via the Arydale to Australia. I am interested in any leads on these people. Cheers, Donna.
