Hi Listers, Well, here's 3 years worth this time. I've been missing my list mail this past week, in what has been a terrible week for us all. In amongst the truly important events, a minor event occurred, my former mail server disappeared last Tuesday. From reading ISP materials, it seems that it may have been located in New York City. I'm quite happy with this service now, and its good to be back in touch. Please note my new email address. Thanks. Dear Karen, although I don't yet have Peach in my family tree a George Peach was a witness at the marriage of our gg grandparents Charles Barker & Martha Harding at St Neots 23 Oct 1825. He signed his name as did the other witness Mary Harding. He was the first witness so perhaps he was a relation. Looking for any information or connections to BRUDENELL. There are, and have been, several Brudenell families in the Huntingdon area since the 1700's. I have some data on the family, but would like to know if anyone else has connections or is currently researching. Also includes known variations: Brudnell, Brudenall & Brutnell For more details please visit http://freespace.virgin.net/brudenell.formum Thank you
Hi John, Thank you for replying so promptly. Your information is all I have ever known about that house or my relative's lives in England. Since my Gr grandparents and their children came to America in 1870 would there be a record of them on any census prior to that? Would those census records be on the internet? It seems one question leads to another one. Thanks again for your help. Mary Worthington
Hi, My grandmother, Mary Louise Bollends Olson, said that she was born in Stirtloe House in Peterbrough, Huntingdonshire in 1866. The family has a picture of it and it notes that it was built sometime in the 1600's. Does anyone know if that could be correct? Would that house still stand? Mary's parents were Richard Bollends (Bollen, Bollens) and Mary Ann Baker. Is anyone researching that family? Any information about that house or any family connected with that name would be so welcome. This family came to America in 1870 and settled in Illinois, then went to Nebraska to homestead on farms there; some of them returned to Illinois in about 1895. I live in Roseville, Illinois where they settled in 1870. Hoping for some answers. Mary Worthington

Greetings List. Hope some kind person can help me on this one. In the 1881 census John Thomas BRAWN was shown to be residing, with his wife and 4 children at "Wornditch" farm Kimbolton. Huntingdon. At that time he was said to have 480 acres of land and employed 10 men and 2 boys. He also had 3 live in servants. The 1891 census has him still at "Wornditch" farm now with 9 children. Can some kind soul please tell me if "Wornditch" farm is still owned by the BRAWN family. Also where would the county records for that period be located. T.I.A. Peter N.S.W. Aust.

Hi Listers, Well, the usual grocery list :) But, what the heck is "600 bark faggott", like firewood with the bark on it? Thought it was kind of nice to give J Wright's girl shoes, stockings and an apron. I couldn't tell if the one entry was "3 childs coats", which made sense to me, or "3 childs coals". First I want to apologize for my english. For a long time I am searching for this couple : a.. William WATSON, born on March 15th 1802 in "Hollingwel, England" (which I suppose to be Holliwell), and died in Reunion Island (where I was born), maried b.. DANIEL Elisabeth, born in Holliwell too in about 1812 They had a daughter Pauline, born in England before 1831. I do not know anything else, except that William was a mechanical engineer who went to Reunion Island to work and staid there without his wife. I thank from all my heart anyone who will be kind enough to give me a beginning of solution. Gérard Payet
Hello, all. New subscription, and, my first message on this list. I have an ancestor Robert HOWE, born about 1820 in Buckworth, which appears to be just a short walk outside Huntingdon, and, I am advised, by a venerable genealogist on another list to which I subscribe, that Buckworth should be regarded as belonging to the county of Huntingdonshire, which since became ingested by Cambridgeshire. I have today seen a message on another list, indicating that this list exists, so, I thought that I should try my luck on this list, in my research. So, any information about the above Robert Howe, or any of his relatives, would be appreciated. Thanks in anticipation. Bret Busby Armadale West Australia ..............
