Hello Friends, For those of us who want our family history to be more that just a list of names and dates, Archive CD Books have came up with an outstanding source of illustrations, covering people, places, architecture, fashions etc. etc. in England from Roman times through to 1860 ...... with which to illustrate our family histories. Entitled "Old England, A Museum of Popular Antiquities by Charles Knight (undated, about 1860) " the CD holds two huge books, each consisting of several volumes, which follow a thematic approach to various aspects of history throughout each of the ages: people, churches, towns and buildings , castles, costumes, and lifestyles, etc.. There are thousands of illustrations - a double page of text, and a double page of illustrations throughout the books. There are beautiful full page engravings of the main English Cathedrals, including ones which will be of interest to folk on these Lists, such as Cambridge, Durham, Ely, Exeter, Lincoln, York etc..
