Hi Jim and all listers, A big thank you for all your labours transcribing the ES burials etc. over the past year. I went to St Mary's churchyard, St Neots back in 1992 and found a lot of the stones unreadable then. Now we have the burials fiche - thanks to some kind souls labours. Seasons Greetings to all. I am an idiot , have just realised that one of my family lines of Wil(l)sons were in Leighton Buzzard on the 1881 census and had been thinking it was a family who moved from there to Gamlingay Had something to do with the shoe trade . Anyone have more details please , but better still is anyone doing any research into them. Mick Wilson
----- Original Message ----- From: Dan Gannon To:ENG-HUNTINGDON-L Sent: Thursday, December 20, 2001 6:57 AM Subject: 1851 UK Census for Stamford,Huntingdon It has come to my attention that the Registration District for parts of Stamford,Lincolnshire ,on the 1851 UK Census, reaches into Huntingdon,as well. Does anyone on the list have the 1851 UK Census for Stamford,Huntingdon and would be willing to do a lookup for me? Thank you for any help or suggestions anyone might have. My kindest regards to you all from Charleston,South Carolina, Dan Daniel R.M.Ginnane-Gannon
I don't think I've mentioned this before, but if so, sorry. I've heard there is a project being worked on right now to transcribe MI's of the town cemetery at Eaton Socon. I'm not sure exactly when it started to be used, but I'm thinking the later 1800's. Anyway, the churchyard MI's there have been done, and now I'm quite happy to hear of the cemetery being done also. :) Bless the volunteer that's doing it! I only had about 4 hours total there last year, so couldn't spend the time to read the really difficult ones. The grounds are very well kept, but already some of the older stones are quite worn. Hello I'm new to the list and to genealogy. Posting my Hunts interests in the hope of making contact with others researching the same. My ggggGrandfather was Thomas Crick, 1801-1876 Ag Lab at Stonely, Kimbolton He married (1) Elizabeth Holmes (1803-1854) of Pipwell and (2) Hannah ? Children John Mary Ann William died age 2 Fanny Sarah Elizabeth Esther Martha I believe Thomas was the son of John Crick and Sarah Smith who married in Kimbolton in 1786. I also believe there were other Cricks in Kimbolton but they had gone by the 1821 census. John married Phoebe HINCH of Molesworth. He was a brickmaker in Haddon and later innkeeper and brickmaker at Burton Pedwardine, Lincs. I've not investigated the HINCH line at all yet. regards Kim

Hello, Is there someone out there with access to the above Census' I am desperate to fine the family of Owen Webb PEACOCK. In 1861 he is living in London with his family and he says on that Census that he was born in Huntingdon, Huntingdonshire. I cannot trace his birth and I do not have an address. Could someone please help.] It is possible that he had a brother James Jonathan b. 1836 I would very much appreciate any assistance. Regards Jacie.
Hi Listers Would some kind person please do a look-up on the 1891 Census for the following: JOHN KILPACK PEACOCK Brooklands Farm Abbots Ripton Huntingdon I am interested in finding out who other members of the family were. Also, I am trying to find the birth of:- OWEN WEBB PEACOCK (Who I believe was a related) who was born in Huntingdon about 1837/39 but later married in London. His father's name was WILLIAM but I have nothing on record of his mother. Maybe someone out there could run a check on Parish Registers. Thank you so much Jacie.

Hello all, Does anyone recongnise this family ? I am researching the surname Dewey, especially from Waterbeach. My grandfather was Ernest John Dewey born 1878 and his parents were George William and Annie Dewey nee Curtis. George Williams' father was called James andhis father was William. George William and James both were christened in Waterbeach but William may have connections with Haddenham. If any of this rings any bells then please get in touch. Thanks in advance Karen
