Hello! I am a new lister and this is my first post. I have a Thomas Pegram who was born c1839 in Hertfordshire. I know that his father's name was James Pegram, a labourer. Thomas appears on the 1871 census. He is married to a lady named Mary Ann, and had a son, Thomas, age 7, and a baby daugher Jeanette Mary. On that census page, the birthplace for Thomas Pegram born c1839 is unreadable. Surrounding census details are clear as day. Can anyone who has access to ancestry.com go to that page and see if you have any ideas, Thomas Pegram is down as 32 years old. It might say Thos. instead of Thomas. Ancestry has guessed the Hertfordshire birthplace as "Werneatts", but this doesn't correspond to any actual towns or parishes in Hertfordshire that I can find. Janet Hopkins
