Hello listers, Still on the trail of the elusive SEARLE'S. Have received a copy of a Hertford Mercury report of the coroner's inquest on John Se(a)rle. In this, it was mentioned that a son was "at GLASGOW's. A disreputable house". The police later found "Jehu (the son) sleeping at GLASGOW's with a prostitute". Can any one tell me whether Glasgow's was a private house, an inn or lodging house? The date of the offence was December 1846.
