    3. Kathy, the main cemetery in Hitchin is in St John's Road & is managed by the local council. Their website is http://www.north-herts.gov.uk/ I found them extremely helpful when I was checking out a burial for someone researching from Canada last year. Just send an e-mail via the "Contact us" option and register an enquiry with the details & you should get a reply within a day or so. Let me know if you are successful in finding the grave(s) & I'll try to take a photo of it for you. Good luck Geoff Morse Hitchin >From: boggan kathryn <kathyboggan@yahoo.com.au> >Reply-To: ENG-HERTFORDSHIRE-L@rootsweb.com >To: ENG-HERTFORDSHIRE-L@rootsweb.com >Subject: [HRT] Cemetery Indexes Hitchin >Date: Thu, 13 Oct 2005 11:10:54 +1000 (EST) > >Hello, >I am new to this site and was wondering if anyone in >the Hitchin area might be able to help me in finding >out information of where my husbands grandparents are >buried. >I have found the following information from the >Catherine House records: > >Jane Anne Boggan age 69 (district Hitchen 1952 >December Quarter)Vol 4b P114 > >Joseph Boggan age 74 (district Hitchin 1956 September >Quarter) Vol 4b P91 > >My husband and I will be travelling to England from >Australia in November and hope to be able to visit >their graves.
