Hi Kathy, I don't know if this is of any held. But I have just ordered a marriage certificate for someone who fell in the 'Hitchin' area. I emailed the registry office direct with the info I had, which is the same as yours. They got back to me the following day to say they had found the entry. All I have to do now is send them payment in pounds and a stamped addressed envelope and then they are going to send the certificate. I got their email and address via www.hertsdirect.org/libsleisure/heritage1/HALS/famhist/ I hope this is of help.
