I am new to this list and wonder if anyone can help me track Obed Kempster and his family. According to the IGI, he was baptised in Latimer on 4 June 1826. On the 1851 census he was living at Ashley Green, Chesham Bucks, aged 25 agricultural labourer, place of birth given as Flaunden, Herts. He is not on the 1861 census in Bucks so I wonder if he had moved to Herts by that time. On the 1881 census, he was living at Kings Hill, Berkhampstead, aged 56 place of birth given as Flanding, Herts. One of is sons, William Henry Kempster, was living in Hog Lane, Northchurch at the time of the 1881 and 1901 census. I would be delgihted to hear from anyone who is interested in this family.
