So far I haven't been able to establish one, but have been provided with some data and would appreciate it if anyone has information on them. Eliza CAMPKIN married Joseph ASHWOOD 1846 Stapleford. It turns out she was previously married and her maiden name was WALLER, she was born 1816 in Wheathampstead. Eliza and Joseph had several children and my contact is in possession of Census data for 1861 onwards for most of them. I have been unable to find Eliza WALLER's first marriage to a CAMPKIN, but surmise it is a Thomas CAMPKIN, there are children to this pair - Mary bap. Bengeo 1841, Elizabeth bap. Stapleford 1843 and Eliza bap. Stapleford 1844, an appropriate death can be found for a Thomas CAMPKIN 1845. What I would be interested in is evidence of a marriage for Eliza WALLER and Thomas CAMPKIN (or any other CAMPKIN) presumably circa 1839. 1841 Census entry for Eliza and Thomas CAMPKIN with daughter Mary (baptised in February 1841), could be in Bengeo or Stapleford 1851 Census entry for Joseph ASHWOOD and Eliza with children, likely Emma b. 1847, Caroline b. 1849 and possibly Edward bap January 1851 all in Stapleford, possibly with CAMPKIN children too. Always looking for CAMPKIN connections, particularly in Ardeley, Datchworth, Watton at Stone areas. I have quite a lot of CAMPKINs, mostly living in Melbourn or Bassingbourn, Cambs, plus a few in Northants, and at least one who went to America. Are these of any interest? -- Mike Stone - Peterborough, England For the strength of the hills we bless thee, Our God, our fathers' God.
