Jill, I did a search on Ancestry.com for an ELIZABETH STURGEON born about 1892 in England. I came up with 2 hits in the England & Wales Civil Registration Index. Here are the results if you want to order the birth certificate from the GRO to find out positive her parents and possibly the place of birth. Name: Sturgeon, Elizabeth Record Type: Births Quarter: September Year: 1892 District: Hertford County: Hertfordshire Volume: 3a Page: 544 Name: Sturgeon, Elizabeth Ann Record Type: Births Quarter: March Year: 1892 District: London City County: London Middlesex Volume: 1c Page: 2 Here's the marriage info I found for ALFRED STURGEON to ELIZABETH FRENCH Quarter: March Year: 1892 District: Edmonton County: Essex Hertfordshire Middlesex Volume 3a Page 360 I didn't find a listing for the death of Alfred Sturgeon in 1893. Could not find Elizabeth Sturgeon mother or daughter in the 1901 census. This probably isn't what you were hoping for, but the best I could do. Hope someone else may come along and do a better job for you. Good luck in the hunt! Theresa E.
