I think you would have to call nineteen pounds 19 shillings. £19.19s.0d. The 95 cents doesn't really fit with the period . Just my 2c worth. I think that horses were sold in guineas in those days and it is something that is attached to that. I may be wrong. I know that some of the horse racing meets are still called ?something guineas!
