Another newcomer to the list! I have been researching the name HOAR, mainly based around Hemel Hempstead, for sometime. I've made a few contacts but we all appear to be stuck with RICHARD HOAR born around 1803 (IGI says abt 1800). We know he married ALICE WELLS from Aston Clinton at St Mary's, Hemel in 1825. We know he had 5 children: THOMAS RICHARD, MARY ANN, CHRISTOPHER JOHN, JANE and WILLIAM ORLANDO. In the 1841 census he was living in Orchard's Yard (now Austin Place); with the family was a RACHEL BUCKLAND - she was stated as 86 year old and NOT born in Herts So the questions are who were RICHARD's parents and did he have any siblings? Is RACHEL a clue? In anticipation..
