Hi All: Can anyone help me find a Sarah J GILES b. abt. 1830 in St. Alban's, Herts, please? er father was George GILES, as stated in her marriage register record from Portsea, 1858: Entry no 188 Page 94. 22 Mar 1858. At St. Mary's, Portsea. William Robert Willcocks, age 32, Widower, Baker/Grocer Sarah Giles, Age 28, Spinster. Fathers: William Willcocks, Foreman of Smiths. George Giles, Office Clerk. Printed, MARRIED BY......(left blank, usually the word Banns is handwritten here)....OR AFTER....(Handwritten) Certificate by me, W. H. Mannan. The birth place is given as St. Alban's on the 1881, 1891 and 1901 censuses. I have been unable to fine 1871 or 1861 census entries, and the couple moved around quite a lot, as evidenced by their children's birthplaces.
