Hello all I am looking for a Mary POTTER who may have been in Royston as of the 1871 census. (Mary POTTER, bcirca 1809 Cullompton or Kentisbeare, Devon) In 1861, she was with her husband (Samuel) in Kentisbeare Devon, but by 1881 she was living with her eldest son, Thomas and his wife Eliza in Royston and is listed as a former general servant. I believe that her husband died in 1866. I am not sure when she came to Royston. If SKS can find her for me, I would be most grateful Thanks Sandra (in snowy Ontario)

Hello Sandra I didn't want you to think that no-one was looking for Mary, so I thought that although I've drawn a blank I would let you know. I've tried to find her under just her first name, then just the surname but although there were others, none were born at the right time.
