Someone else did a look up on the 1841 census but couldn't find them, so I'd just about given up hope. Yes, it is Dorcas. Cornelius was born in Suffolk (no idea what they were doing there) and only really began being connected as a definte son a few weeks ago when I got the Hertford Mercury report of their arrests in 1848. Cornelius and Esau were transported to Australia in 1849 for crimes unrelated to the one already mentioned, and I am in contact with their descendants, so I shall pass this information on to them. It certainly ties up a lot of loose ends. John Searle was my 3xGreat Grandfather. At least his oldest son William seems to have stayed on the straight and narrow.
