Hi listers, Would some kind soul please look for the christening of Susannah SNELL b c1815? Most census years she lists her birth place as "Chipping, near Buntingford". In the 1841 census she is living with her husband (Joseph HALE b c1812, High Beech, Essex) in Roydon, Essex . A few households away there's Joseph SNELL (55, born in Essex) and Susan SNELL (60, not born in Essex). I suspect these are her parents but don't want to jump to conclusions! Also living with them are two males who I expect are Susannah's brothers - one name is illegible (30, born in Essex) and the other is Joseph (25, not born in Essex). I'd also love to have marriage info for Susannah and Joseph Hale. They don't show up in Essex records so perhaps they were married in Herts. Any assistance gratefully received. Cheers, Lisa

Lisa, I've searched in the Marriage index at Hertfordshire names ( online at the HALS site) but cannot find a marriage for Susan(nah) Snell However the IGI has this extracted record SUSAN SNELL Christening: 12 OCT 1817 Buckland, Hertford, England JOSEPH SNELL SUSAN Extracted birth or christening record for the locality listed in the record.
