I am trying to find the parents of George Reeve who is shown in the 1861 census as 45 years old and born in Bovingdon. He was married to a Maria Pritchard who was 42 from Sarratt. Hi Freebmd has a marriage of George Reeve and Maria Pritchard in the June 1/4 of 1842 in the Watford dist vol 6 p 761 , and if you get this certificate you will find both parties fathers .......... In fact the 1861 census entry for Plough Wood , Cashio , Watford , shows that Maria`s father William is in fact living with them , the household is George Reeve, head, marr , 45 , ag lab, b Bovington , Maria , 42, b Sarratt, Jane dau aged 15, Peter aged 11, and William Pritchard, wife`s father, marr, 75, carpenter journeyman, b Sarratt .
