    3. I am descended from Robert Lane from Rickmansworth, ca 1534. I have found a couple of pictures of the homestead, but wondered if it was still standing? can someone suggest where I can find some more history of the farm? Thanks.... Laurie Costanzo La Vernia, Texas

    3. I'm afraid not, Laurie. It became the Express Dairies depot, and most of the land was sold off for housing - a big council estate and some private housing. There were two schools, now amalgamated into one Shepherd's JMI school and the old schools are now a community centre and a centre for people with learning difficulties. There was also a secondary school, now demolished, named after William Penn who also had associations with this area. You could try the Rickmansworth Historical Society http://www.rickmansworthhistoricalsociety.btik.com/home.ikml for more information and http://www.hertfordshire-genealogy.co.uk/data/places/mill-end.htm HTH Anne On 13 May 2008, at 18:52, Laurie Costanzo wrote: > I am descended from Robert Lane from Rickmansworth, ca 1534.
