So far I've examined every family in Watford with a wife born in 1807-09 and cannot see an obvious candidate. The most I can find are families with 7 or 8 children and if she had had 30 I would have expected to find far more, even if some of them had died or grown up and moved. But many thanks for the suggestion. -- Roy Stockdill Professional genealogical researcher, writer & lecturer Newbies' Guide to Genealogy & Family History: www.genuki.org.uk/gs/Newbie.html "There is only one thing in the world worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about." Hi Roy How annoying that the paper omitted her name! I wonder if there was a more detailed report in a local paper that might have given her name. Another way to search might be to search for brothers and sisters because often if the family was really large some of the children might be living with elder siblings or relatives. For example there are 3 Cooper sisters living with their 14 year old brother. There are a few other miscellaneous Cooper children that might also be part of the same family. A James Cooper 55 and wife Ann 40 have a few more children at home and none of the names and ages are duplicated. The only problem is James is not a Victualler. Do let us know if you find the family and how!
