Ginger I assume you've seen the entry on IGI for the baptism at Edlesborough, Bucks in 1803. All I can suggest is to look at the film of that register for any comments on the entry. William's family appear to be connected to the Ginger's of Edelsborough, made more difficult by the fact that William was illegitimate - but after over 2 years of searching I can't find his father, or any reference to likely candidates. What I have found is that Willam's mother (Elizabeth Ginger b. c1775, Abbots Langley) had a brother called Edward Ginger (b. 6/4/1776 Edelsborough), who married an Elizabeth Anstey (b26/12/1770 Houghton Regis)...this looks like a likely place for a connection that I would lime to pursue, as William could have adopted his real father's surname as his middle name (allowing for spelling!), has anyone got any connection to the ANSTEY family at this time?..or any ideas for places I can look (aside from wills & bastardy bonds which we've already looked at)?
