What you can expect are..... The names of both parties. Parishes of residence both parties, whether "of this parish" or some other. The groom's occupation. If one of the parties is a minor, i.e. under 21, whether the marriage is with permission of parents or guardian. Marital status, i.e. bachelor, spinster, widowed. Name of the incumbent conducting the service. Names and signatures of witnesses. Names, or marks, of the parties. -- Roy Stockdill Professional genealogical researcher, writer & lecturer Newbies' Guide to Genealogy & Family History: www.genuki.org.uk/gs/Newbie.html "There is only one thing in the world worse than being talked about, and that is not being talked about."
